Group14 Technologies Awarded $100 Million by the US Department of Energy

Liebman & Associates, Inc., is pleased to announce that its long-standing client, Group14 Technologies, won a $100 million grant for a next-generation silicon-carbon composite to displace graphite in lithium-ion battery (LIB) anodes. It’s called SCC55 and facilitates significant reductions in battery cost and carbon footprint on a per-unit basis compared to incumbent graphite anode material.
